Keyboard Size and Layout Customization

aInspired lets you adjust the keyboard's size and layout to fit your preferences and hand size.

Resizing the Keyboard

Using Resize Mode

1. Long-press the toolbar (hold for about 3 seconds) to enter resize mode.
2. Drag the top edge of the keyboard up or down to adjust the height.
3. Tap outside the resize handles or wait a moment to confirm your new size.

From Settings

1. Open the aInspired app.
2. Go to Settings > Keyboard Layout.
3. Adjust the Keyboard Height slider.
4. Preview the change in real-time.

Customizing the Toolbar

The toolbar above the keyboard provides quick access to features like voice, chat, GIFs, and memes. You can customize which tools appear:

1. Go to Settings > Toolbar.
2. Toggle tools on or off.
3. Drag to reorder them.
4. The most-used tools should be placed first for easy access.

Keyboard Layout Options

aInspired supports the standard QWERTY layout. Additional options include:

• Number row -- Show a dedicated number row above the letter keys.
• Key spacing -- Adjust the gap between keys for more accurate or compact typing.

Tips

• If you have large hands, increase the keyboard height for bigger touch targets.
• If you want to maximize screen space, reduce the keyboard height.
• The toolbar automatically adjusts when you resize the keyboard.
• Free tier users have a slightly shorter toolbar to accommodate the ad banner. Upgrading to any paid tier restores the full toolbar height.
